Obituary of Angus John Hutchison

HUTCHISON – Angus John of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and daughter at his side on Monday July 17, 2023 at the age of 71.  Beloved husband of Susan Hutchison (nee Anger).  Angus is survived by his daughter Andrea Hutchison (Johnny); his honourary daughter Leigh Brown; grand-cats Lex, Lacie and Everleigh; siblings Alan Hutchison (Carole), Heather Cotter (Bob), Norma Hutchison (Tom) and Ross Hutchison (Hae-Jeon),  Brother in laws Chris Anger (Diane) and Murray Anger; Nieces and Nephews; Shari (Rob), Kelly (Glen), Dawn (Hans), Cheryl (Warren), Christine (Wes), Bobbie Jo, Ashley, Christopher, Jessie (Gino), Brandon, Sandy (Steve), Ben (Stacey), Bev and Lizzy; cousins Rob and Barbara Hutchison and many great nieces, nephews and extended family.  Predeceased by his father, Archibald McLean, mother Mary Hutchison and stepfather, Norman Hutchison, sister Maureen Mack and her husband Garry, sister-in-law, Nancy Anger, father-in-law, Jack Anger and mother-in-law, Vivian Anger.  Angus was born in Edinburgh, Scotland before immigrating to Canada in 1957.  Before retirement, Angus worked for a decade at Dorchester arena and spent the last of his career as a charge custodian for Thames Valley School Board.  Beloved by the students and staff at East Elgin Secondary School, he received an Award of Distinction for all of his hard work throughout the years.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Simplicity Cremation, 125-750 Talbot Street, St. Thomas (226-210-1086).  Cremation has taken place.  If desired, donations to Lung Cancer Canada and Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated.
