Obituary of Rick Thompson

THOMPSON- Roy Richard “Rick” passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the age of 77.  Survived by his loving wife Shelley Thompson (nee Buck); by his daughters Ashleigh and Crystal.  Rick will also be remembered by his sisters in law Roxanne Waller (late Thomas Waller), Lynn Booker, Liane Shaw (late Clyde Shaw) and his brother in law Jim Buck (Jackie Vanderveen).  Rick will also be missed by his numerous cousins.  Rick was born in Timmins, Ontario.  He worked in the mining industry before moving to Southwestern Ontario where he became a forklift operator at Premco and then Rapid Delivery.  Rick loved all types of music and enjoyed sharing his love of music with his daughters.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  Cremation has taken place and arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Cremation 750 Talbot Street, Suite 125, St. Thomas (226-210-1086).  Share a memory at www.simplicity-cremation.ca
