Obituary of Carol Ann Gibson
GIBSON - Carol (nee Mattison) passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 24th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Loving daughter to the late Ernie and Jean (Ineson) Mattison. Beloved wife of George Gibson. Devoted mother to James (Shauna) and Michael (Becky). Proud grandmother to Everett, Adelle, Walker, and Nash. Cherished sister to Donald, Alan (Glenda), and Raymond (Sharon). Adored aunt to many nieces and nephews and a faithful friend to all that knew her. Carol devoted herself to her nursing career and the summers on Georgian Bay. In her log cabin is where she found happiness enjoying her love of nature. Carol was never without a 4-legged companion and left behind her beautiful Labrador, Lacey. Surviving the past 11 years because of a donated liver, Carol was passionate about educating people on the life changing impacts of organ donations. Arrangements entrusted to Simplicity Cremation, 125-750 Talbot Street, St Thomas, ON (226-210-1086). Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Carol will be remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
